Princess Beatrice says “I do!” in secret…

Love wins in the midst of a global pandemic. Despite COVID-19 wreaking havoc on 2020 and Princess Beatrice’s original wedding plans, Bea chose to tie the knot and secure her happily ever after with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in an intimate ceremony at Windsor. Translation: Princess Beatrice’s backup plan is wedding goals.

Based on a statement released by the Palace, we know that they respected the current COVID-19 social guidelines by shrinking their guest list down to 20 of their closest friends and family. “The small ceremony was attended by The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and close family. The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government guidelines.”

According to reports, Princess Beatrice was especially concerned over the health and safety of her grandmother and grandfather. The Queen, 94, is said to be “delighted” over Princess Beatrice’s nuptials. Prince Philip, 99, “appeared in excellent spirits” as he made his exit.

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 37, is an Italian property developer and close family friend. He has a son named Christopher aka Wolfie from a previous relationship, making 31-year-old Beatrice a stepmother.

Edoardo and Beatrice planned to wed at the iconic St James’s Palace on May 29th, but had to reevaluate their plans due to the coronavirus. The quiet service was held at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor. Our invite must have gotten lost in the mail.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
