I don’t know how I’ve spent the last seven years of my life without seeing The CW’s, ‘Reign.’ I’m late to the party, I’m ashamed.
I thought I turned on 2015’s Versailles television-series. I must have clicked the wrong Netflix graphic. 20 minutes into the show, I realized that it was totally not Versailles. (It was better.)
Reign is a scripted romantic drama about a young Mary, Queen of Scots. The CW series premiered in October of 2013 and ended in 2017. I am 14 episodes in and obsessed.
This love triangle between Mary, Bash, and Francis is next level. My heart falls in to my butt every time there is a passionate kiss. Actors, Torrance Coombs and Toby Regbo, are super precious and Adelaide Kane is perfection.
I don’t know why I’ve never attempted to watch Reign before, except for that their promotional graphics are kind of cheesy… but if you haven’t watched this show yet, and you love all things royal, you have to!
The costumes are insane. I love looking at the way they braid and hide little jewels in their hair. (I’ve got to get hair extensions.) The soap opera storylines are ridiculous. In a good way. I could do without some of the modern music but otherwise, I’m living the dream right now.
I imagine most, if not all, of the storylines are purely imagination but I don’t want to google and spoil anything. That’s how in-it-to-win-it I am about this new discovery.
Stream all four seasons of Reign on Netflix right now. Then tweet me!
