Kristen Stewart will play Princess Diana in the new movie, Spencer.

Spencer is set to start filming in January of 2021 and Kristen Stewart recently told InStyle Magazine that she’s anxiously trying to nail Princess Diana’s delicate tone, “The accent is intimidating as all hell because people know that voice, and it’s so, so distinct and particular.”

Kristen admits that she has always had a “curiosity” with the Princess. “I haven’t been this excited about playing a part, by the way, in so long.”

“I always just thought that this person was sort of stolen from us and I always had a curiosity about her,” she tells InStyle. “Every day that I unfold this story, the more emotionally invested I get.”

Kristen reveals, “I remember imagery from the funeral as a really little kid. I remember being really viscerally affected by that.”

Spencer will explore Princess Diana’s final Christmas holiday with the royal family when she decides her marriage to Prince Charles is over.
