On Tuesday the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their first podcast under Archewell Audio via Spotify. To Di For Daily‘s Kinsey Schofield spoke to Cheddar TV about their 2020 holiday special.

CliffsNotes: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sounded like they were having fun and really enjoying the process. There were several natural and sweet exchanges.

The podcast format suits them tremendously. It allows for a certain amount of privacy and keeps them comfortable and confident.

Sir Elton John and Tyler Perry are big names but expect bigger in the future. We think Reese Witherspoon and Hoda Kotb would ignite great conversations with the royal couple.

Their production strategy was excellent. They created a list of people they admire and distributed similar questions to them. Then they built the narration for Harry and Meghan around the answers they received. However, I don’t believe this will be the regular format. Markle is especially skilled at interviewing individuals that she admires and I think those intimate/organic conversations are important to maintaining interest in the podcast and couple.

Highlight: Archie’s cameo FTW. We can’t get enough of his sweet American accent!
