Famed royal biographer Andrew Morton has been incredibly busy over the last few years!
Most recently he rereleased his Meghan Markle biography, Meghan: Unmasking the Monarchy. Before that, he was promoting his book about Queen Elizabeth‘s relationship with her sister Princess Margaret titled, Sisters. Now, to complement Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Morton is set to release The Queen through Waterstones.
In a post on Instagram, Waterstones revealed, “We’re delighted to be publishing the must-have biography of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Il by Andrew Morton, the world’s best-known royal biographer.
“The Queen takes us behind the scenes of the longest-reigning monarch in British history to reveal an extensive, entertaining and insightful portrait.”
Morton is quoted as saying, “Queen Elizabeth II has become the stuff of superlatives: the longest-reigning and most traveled monarch in history. Her life has been one of service scored with shocks and surprises, and with an unparalleled capacity to expect the unexpected.”
So much to look forward to as Waterstones promises that Morton will: “explore her public life of duty and service alongside her private family life.”
As an official member of the Andrew Morton fan club, I am especially excited to read The Queen. Morton broke the mold when it comes to royal biographies when it was revealed that he secretly worked with Princess Diana to develop Diana: Her True Story.
You can pre-order The Queen now or wait until it hits shelves in May.
